A RARE FIND from a watch collector's estate! Quarter hour repeater verge fusee pocket watch movement. Please note that the collector died over 2 decades ago and collected from the 1960's to the 1980's.

So a good service (clean & oil) would also be in order. This beautiful gilt movement has a verge fusee. Intricately hand engraved, hand pierced balance cover.

And a silvered regulator disc. The movement / dial is NOT marked with a manufacturers name. Using the key to wind the mainspring using the arbor on the rear; I noticed there was NO RESISTANCE; I do NOT know. Spring or perhaps another issue. I can see what is presumed to be the small chain wrapped around the tapered arbor.

I DO NOT KNOW ITS CONDITION. Fits the center hand arbor. DOES SWING FREELY; but the.

Fully pressing down on the steel'inner' repeater lever, located at the 12 o'clock position, I heard 8'single hammer' dings in'rapid succession'. When I tried to rotate the hand and try the repeater again at a different time; I could only turn the'hour' hand approximately one. And with gentle pressure it would NOT TURN any further'forward or backward'. So I do NOT know if the Carillon.

Carillon chime is one that. 3 hammers and 3 gongs. I have NOT removed the dial or any part of the movement.

The white enameled dial has a large chip to the outer perimeter at the 13 - 17 minute position and some heavier scratches to the surface. There are black Arabic numerals at the hour markers and the dial is secure to the movement plate (presumed it has feet).

The blued steel hand is MISSING some of its finish and has some light corrosion. THE MINUTE HAND IS MISSING. He diameter of the movement (and dial). He overall thickness of the watch. Movement (including the hand and winding arbor).

Please see the detailed pictures for what is included and its condition! Please look for my upcoming watch auctions! Thank You for looking and May God Bless.
