Lange pocket watch movement retailed by Harry Emanuel in New Bond St. The movement has the serial number 10103 on the under dial side. Records are not 100% accurate, but according to online records that would place the date of the movement around 1875. The movement winds up and ticks away happily. It is lacking its dial and minute/hour gears.

The protruding pinion for the sub seconds hand is also slightly bent. I have only wound it very slightly to see if it would work and it has been ticking away now for an hour without issues in various positions. The escape wheel and pallet are made of solid gold, as are the timing screws on the balance wheel. There are no identifying marks on the movement for its origin apart from its obvious design. On the dial side, there is a hand written inscription that simply says "Bal staff" and some numbers below it, obviously an old watchmakers record from a repair long ago. Measures 39.75mm on the back plate and 41.75mm on the dial plate.
