Extremely Rare Vacheron & Constantin Pocket Watch Paperweight Possibly Unique Circa 1905. Up for your consideration is this very rare & very fine, vintage Vacheron & Constantin pocket watch paperweight. Possibly unique & one of a kind.
Circa 1905 Excellent original condition. Estate fresh, as found & untouched.
In my 35 plus years dealing in watches & antiques, I have never seen anything like this. With many hours of researching the internet, I have not found another example, by V&C or any other maker. This V&C movement entombed in a glass paperweight, was made expressly for R. Thorn & Sons, of Albany, NY. As you can see, this is a true paperweight.
All glass with a green & gold leather top. Rare V&C high grade nickel movement! Looks to be key wind.....Was this a store display piece or a very expensive desk accessory for the man who has everything? Serial number 290920 dates this to 1905. Please take note of the Wolf's tooth winding wheels. Paperweight measures 3 3/4 square. Movement is in excellent condition. I have know idea of running condition, but one would imagine it would be fine, since it has never been used. Balance wheel spins freely with a shake of the wrist. Green felt covers the bottom of the paperweight.
Don't miss out on this rare opportunity! I promise you, you will never find another. Photos should tell the rest of the story. Would make a very nice gift or a great addition to your own collection. CONDITION: Excellent As Found & Untouched.
