Made by J. P. Stevens, Atlanta Nickle Movement
A nickel movement that is engraved Made by J. I was under the impression that Stevens only made/modified American movements..
This appears to clearly be of Swiss design. The movement is housed in a Brass display case and can be wound with the crown and set when the front bezel is snapped off...Movement runs well and does appear to keep time.. Higher grade hairspring stud mounting.. Big center jewel setting, with the others pressed in.. Compensated balance that run true and has good motion..
No major scratches or spots.. Enamel dial has a lite hairline but no chips..It is signed as the movement... Nice set of blued hands... The display case has beveled edge glass crystals... Seems to be a rather high grade movement...
