High-quality open face case , "bassine et filet", in best Geneva quality, maker mark "A E", Swiss / Geneva 18k control mark from 1882, works glazing; the case is in very nice condition. Very rare, experimental bridge movement, grained and gilt, the chronograph mechanism is mounted on an additional half plate, which is rhodium plated and guilloched.English lever escapement, ratchet-wheel chronograph, bevelled and matt chronograph levers, mirror polished and blued screws. Beautiful enamel dial with red minute and red seconds, filigree blued steel pear hands, both perfectly preserved. The watch is fully functional and in very good condition.
