On offer here is probably a unique pocket watch movement having fusee with a verge escapement made by Ritchie of London fabulous backcock and diamond endstone. What makes this movement unique is it looks to have been commissioned specifically for a Thomas Farquarson from the Farquarson clan having the family crest and motto on the dial. The balance seems to be swinging freely but not escaping. I have not checked the spring as I feel is should be serviced before trying to run it.
A real piece of Scottish history which if recased and repaired belongs in a museum. Please study my pictures as they form part of my description. To Avoid any other upset or loss, we will now. We will of course subsidise the cost of this Guaranteed Service. We post daily, but we sometimes are unable to post on a Saturday.
