Rare Mathew Flaig, Nassau Up- Down Wind Indicator pocket watch movement. Repair
Rare, High Grade Mathew Flaig? Nassau Up-Down Wind Indicator pocket watch movement for Repair. Im pretty sure the last name is Flaig, but please look to verify for yourself.
The balance staff seems ok and the seconds hand will advance when the balance is gently manually rotated back and forth. The wind indicator hand did also advance when i gave it a little wind. I just gave it a bit more wind and it advanced more. It seems to have good tension on the main spring.The balance seems gummed up a bit, so a good cleaning and fresh oil may get this going again but no guarantees. The Gold Gilt Movement looks pretty nice with some scratches and wear. The dial is pretty nice with a few flaws, notably between the 10-11 near the edge. It comes with a key to wind and set it.
