An extremely wonderful, rare museum-quality Verge pocket watch movement. The movement has a very large dial, almost big enough to be a clock. Likelihood is that this was a clock or has been converted into one. The movement winds and ticks away when dial side down but stops when dial side up. From a very large collection that hasn't been touched for many years, probably has not been cleaned for over 150 years.

Made by Martin Hall of Yarmouth, dates to around 1780 - this was the period he was working according to Brittens. The balance cock and plates are made from solid silver and are ornately decorated, very finely finished piece of hand made horological history. For the collector of fine and rare pieces.
