Superb Rare & High Quality Minute Repeater Pocket Watch Movement (AB34). Please see photographs for condition and size - the pictures form an important part of the description. A superb quality minute repeater pocket watch movement - For restoration. The balance is good and is moving freely, the staff is ok and secure.
There seems to be an issue where the pallet meets the escape wheel - unsure if it is a jewel issue or a cleaning issue, but the escape wheel does not want to rotate when the pallet moves. The repeating mechanism is working - when you pull the lever, it chimes hours, quarters and minutes. Unfortunately one of the gong springs is missing, but both gongs are present.
Just the minute gong is not hitting anything when the repeat mechanism is engaged. Winds at 3 o'clock. Anonymous unsigned work, there is a serial number under the dial - 1078 and the dial is initialted twice underneath it - once saying "1078 CK" and again saying "LL". Most likely Swiss in origin although it looks to be English. See further details on David Penneys website here.
From an almost identical movement described as having the same keyless work and pattern under the dial. I believe that the only real issue with this is the pallet/escape wheel problem. If this was repaired and then cleaned it would be a fully working movement. Due to the high value and nature of this item, I cannot combine with other items.
