1876 100 Year Centennial Rockford 18 Size Key Wind Pocket Watch

  
This watch is in terrific condition! Sets, winds and runs with a few key turns.

This watch is 148 years old and celebrates the 100th Centennial of the American independence! Made by the Rockford watch company in Rockford Illinois it is an 18 size 11 Jewel gilt movement with key. Not that many key-winds from this era start right up and run strongly like this one.

As if it were made this year. The dial is flawless, no hairlines, no chipping, no discoloration. Lacking 1 hand, not hard to find. The movement is complete and clean. Case is near perfect- hinges open to where they should.

Spring is still strong, snaps tightly shut. Both the cuvet and the back case cover. Rockford was one of the big five earlier American watchmakers along with Elgin, Hamilton, Illinois and South Bend.
