The fob watch is in exceptional condition and has seen very little use in it's 118 years of life. The case is in excellent condition. The only blemish is a small hairline fracture from 8oclock to the sub-second dial. Guarantee is in French and German.

This particular example is from 1902 and is in a ladies fob watch with 14ct gold case. The term "ancre" shows that the calibre 64 has an anchor escapement, the Swiss term for the lever escapement. These are straight line Swiss lever escapements with cut bimetallic temperature compensating balances, Breguet overcoil balance springs and 15 or 16 jewels, with some jewels set in screwed chatons. They work at 18,000 vibrations per hour. Their mainspring barrels have the patented IWC version of "Maltese cross" or Geneva stop work. An interesting transitional movement in IWC history.

The dial is in excellent condition, one slight hairline from 8 oclock, towards the sub second chapter ring. The hands are all original. There are some signs of corrosion, but no scratching. The crystal is a recent replacement and is in perfect condition. The crown is original to the fob watch and has discoloured slightly, but is in very good condition.
The case is 14ct gold and has a beautiful tone. There are no dents and only light surface scratches on the case. A very clean case back with a great shine. Some minor light surface scratching. A IWC cal 64 movement which has been serviced.
Keeping time to -2 seconds a day with an amplitude of 270 and a beat error of 0.2m/s. Case length with crown: 39mm.
