Beautiful, clean high-grade Waltham 23 Jewel adjusted 5 positions Vanguard, 18 size antique railroad pocket watch. A beautifully finished and highly Damascened movement with polished winding wheels. Watch features gilt gold lettering, gold, Jewel settings, and timing screws a stunning Looking Movement that is a good running movement and seems to keep time, but I have not checked it over a long period. Watch has good motion when running. Dial is the original double sunk Arabic Waltham glass enamel railroad dial and I believe is in mint condition.
A very nice hard to find dial in this condition. Case is a nickel silver Dueber case that is a screw back and bezel case with a coin edge. Case is a very nice looking case, but does have some scratches on the bezel's. Watch is lever set and winds and sets correctly. Serial number 18130815, circa 1911 making this watch over 110 years old.
