Koehn SWISS pocket watch movement assoc. Of Patek Philippe Circa 1895. Edward Koehn was born in 1839. He studied from 1859 at the watchmaking school in Geneva. Then he started in 1895 as a simple watchmaker for Patek Philippe and after 15 years and was appointed director.

In 1891, Edward Koehn retired from Patek Philippe and bought the H. Ekegren as chief of manufacture.

When Ed Koehn left Patek, he set out to make a finer watch than Patek Philippe, and there is no little doubt that he was making one of the finest watches in the world. This elegant wrist watch was converted from antique pocket watch.

Antique pocket watch precision movement from Edward Koehn produced in circa 1895s in a New Hand-Engraved Art Stainless Steel case. Gently curved elements are produced with chip removal techniques using sharp burins that not only incise the stainless steel but actually "lift" the decorations out of the stainless steel. This project has given a new life for this antique watch. Its an ideal combination of antique and modern styles. This watch Would Make A Great Addition To Your watch Collection.

DIAL: The new professionally made white polished ceramics & pad printing, roman numerals, subsidiary second. MOVEMENT: Original Antique PRECISION High-Grade Ed Koehn, produced in ca. 1895s, rhodium-plated, 21 jewels, wolfs tooth winding, straight-line moustache lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring with double overcoil, screw micrometer regulator. These movements are marked: E. Koehn, Genave , SUISSE, s/n # 71680.

In an excellent status which was very well saved, considering age of this watch (110 years). Movement has been recently serviced. Movement works fine and keeps good time. CASE: Large Size Hand-Engraved Art Stainless steel Case, snap back with original mineral glass and is in excellent condition. SIZE: 43 mm - Diameter of the original mineral glass 48 mm - Case wide 57 mm - Case tall from lug to lug 13 mm - Thickness 20 mm - Band size.
