Edouard Koehn à Geneve extra flat Geneva pocket watch extremely reduced movement design, 1905. Fine and very rare, Finest Quality. Very rare, extremely reduced, experimental movement caliber: Koehn received a US patent for this caliber type in 1903.

Open face case without cuvette, very flat case of not even 9 mm height. Dial : enamel, white, original blued steel hands, radial roman numerals, signed "Ed Koen Geneva", dial and hands are perfectly preserved. Movement : 17 lines, rare; reduced to the essentials, three-bridged movement, 8 adjusts, Flying mainspring barrel, gold screw compensation balance, straight-line steel lever with open pallets, rhodium-plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, three-wheel gold running train, 19 jewels.

The movement is in very nice, fully functional condition. Diameter 48 mm, weight 58 g, approx. 81620, signed on the dial, case and movement. He then began as an employed watchmaker with Patek Philippe and later became director.

In 1891 Edouard Koehn acquired the company H. Henri Robert Ekegrèn, however, remained active in the company until his death in 1896.

The sense of quality that he acquired during his many years at Patek Philippe was later reflected in his own products, which he designed and manufactured.
