Edward Baker London Duplex Fusee Repeater Pocket Watch Movement Ticking (S173)
Edward Baker London Duplex Fusee Repeater Pocket Watch Movement Ticking (S173). Please see photographs for condition and size. The pictures form an important part of the description. Appears to be a duplex escapement. The movement winds up and will tick away, it ticks for 2-10 minutes each time but will come to a stop and need moving again to get going. The repeater mechanism needs restoration, when the plunge piece is pressed in it will take some time to work, this happens very slowly over several minutes or even an hour+. As the mechanism goes slowly I cannot be sure if gongs activate or work but they are present. The central pivot on the wheel has sheared off, this piece is separate from the movement (see pictures), it lacks its dial and I cannot be sure if all parts are there.
A fine and rare piece for the collector. To receive updates about new listings, special offers and upcoming stock.
