Rare Antique H Perregaux Spring Detent Chronometer Pocket Watch Movement

  

Circa mid to late 1800s. 41.86 mm in diameter. The white enamel dial is signed H.

PERREGAUX LOCLE and is in excellent shape. The spring detent CHRONOMETER movement is stamped H PERREGAUX LOCLE N 13155 Spring detent chronometer escapement. The balance staff swings freely and the hairspring is good but it doesnt run. It seems that the round gear wheel (last 2 photos) may have issues and will not lock down when winding the mainspring, thus no power.

If you apply pressure to the barrel with a watch key, the chronometer will run. You dont run across these pieces too often in any shape. Please check out my other auctions for other fine vintage and antique pocket & wristwatches.
