Rare Delolme London Going Barrel Pocket Watch Movement, Possibly Unique (S176). Please see photographs for condition and size - the pictures form an important part of the description. Movement not currently working, the balance is secure and when a puff of air is placed on the balance it will tick for 2-5 seconds before sopping like it is being prevented from running. Most likely not serviced for many many years.
This piece is very rare by Henry Delolme who was a well-regarded chronometer maker. Looking at this I would say it is possibly unique, under the dial is especially telling as there is no sign of any use of an Ebauche or rough movement to be passed off as his, there are no markings or numbers under the dial. Lovely piece for the collector of rare movements and for restoration/service. To receive updates about new listings, special offers and upcoming stock.
