Rare Verge Fusee Doctors Pocket Watch Movement With Gold Hands - Ticking (BM2). Please see photographs for condition - the pictures form an important part of the description.
Anonymous maker, the name may have been on the dust cover if there indeed was one. Unusual movement, small sub dial for regular hour and minute time keeping and an enlarged seconds outer for precision time keeping by doctors.
Dial has a bit of damage with some chips and hairline cracks but is otherwise good considering. The large seconds hand is missing but original gold smaller hands present. The movement winds up and does tick away a little but it stops randomly and when moved around too much. Likely has not been serviced in some time. I only wound it slightly to test it. Large diamond endstone on the balance cock. Stop work is present but flicking the lever at present does nothing to stop the balance from moving so something is at fault here. A lovely rare movement requiring a service. Balance is good and secure and the chain is also present and secure. Measures 40.1mm on reverse side and 44.85mm on the dial.To receive updates about new listings, special offers and upcoming stock. We get new stock all the time and list several times a week!
